Now BAM in 2023 sees the return of world tour events and the debut of Street Fighter 6, which has already registered more players to compete then any in the Street Fighter V era. Running one week after launch, BAM is an official Capcom approved tournament, and there will be a Street Fighter 6 experience zone for new players and spectators.
Tekken World Tour returns to Australia as BAM hosts a Master Event, and world class Tekken players have registered to take the all important points on the TWT leaderboard and a $5,000 cash prize.
Likewise, for the first time in Australia, the Arc World Tour at BAM will be a Qualifier for Guilty Gear Strive – the winning player will qualify for the Arc World Tour in Los Angeles.
A community event at heart, not only is there a tournament for every fighting flavour, including major titles Super Smash Bros, DragonBall FighterZ, Mortal Kombat, and more.
Not only for tournament players, there will be plenty for Spectators in the Freeplay Zone and an Artist Alley section to enjoy. A major tournament, a community and cultural staple for gamers, BAM must attend for fighting game fans nationwide and indeed around the world.
International players of note who are signed up include Tekken masters KNEE (EVO and BAM champion), Chanel, Rest and Ulsan from South Korea, while Japan’s Pinya, Rangchu and Thailand’s Book also appear, among others. On the Guilty Gear and Street Fighter pro side, Saudi Arabia’s Latif (EVO Strive winner and Street Fighter grand finalist) will be attending BAM.
International commentators Markman and Pochspice will help call the Tekken World Tour action.
